Rye, NY This photo was taken of a typical sunset in the town of Rye, New York which is my hometown. I took this picture while I was home for fall break last October. I like this photo for many reason, one being that it captures the beauty of one of Rye’s most fun features which is the Yacht Club. Seeing all the boats lined up along the harbor is always beautiful to me as it looks idyllic and aesthetically pleasing. Another reason to love this photo is the effect the sunset frames the clouds. In this picture in particular, the clouds look like cotton candy among the blue sky and gives me a sense of warmth and home. The way the water ripples are shown dominantly throughout the harbor is another reason to love this picture as it seems like time is frozen still and captures the beauty of the whole scene perfectly.
